What is Frontier Airlines Baggage Policy & its Baggage Fees?

Frontier Airlines Baggage Policy

As compared to other airlines, Frontier Airlines also offer two types of baggage namely carry-on & check-in baggage. Let’s darkly describe each baggage.

Carry-on baggage Policy of Frontier Airlines

Travelers are permitted to carry 1 personal item & 1 carry-on item without any cost.
A traveler needs to pay for a purse, briefcase, and laptop bag) per person fee-free. (Personal item)
All the carry-on baggage will consider through weight, dimension & size such as:
For Economy Flex Class: 1x8kg/17 lbs. bag with max dimensions of 55x40x23cm/21x15x9 inches.
For Economy Semi Flex Class: 2 x 8 kg/ 17 lbs. bags.

Additional Charges on Carry-on Baggage

Extra carry-on bag – 100 US dollars or 120 CAD.
Heavy or overweight between 11 to 23 KG carry-on bag–50 US dollars / 60 CAD.
For oversized between 114CM or above carry-on bags – 50 US dollars / 60 CAD.

Checked Baggage Policy for Frontier Airlines

According to Frontier Airlines Baggage Policy, the passengers are allowed the Checked Baggage in the following ways: -

Economy Classic and Flex fares: 1 checked baggage and weight should not exceed 23 kg/50 lbs.
Economy Semi flex Class: 2 checked baggage & weight should exceed 32 kg/70 lbs.
Non-flex Class: 3 checked baggage & weight should not exceed 32kg/70 lbs.

Frontier Airlines Baggage Fees

Under the Baggage Allowance of Frontier Airlines, any item must not exceed 158 cm in size (width + height + depth).
Any baggage items that are bigger/heavier will be transported as extra baggage. Otherwise,
Frontier Airlines will be charged for every extra item of baggage if it’s exceeded. Any baggage items don’t accept weighing above 32 KG and exceeding a total size of 292 cm (width + height + depth).
Excess Baggage Fees – International Flights:

On all routes, each passenger is permitted a maximum of four pieces of checked items, & excess baggage is accepted depending on the space or subject to space availability.

For Excess Baggage, Frontier Airlines baggage Fees are the Following Charges

2nd Piece fee is 35 US dollars (Only for economy Semi-flex & Non-Flex)
3rd Piece fee is 130 US dollars (All’s Economy Fare)
4rth Piece fee is 175 US dollars
For heavy pieces between 24 to 32 KG then, the traveler needs to pay 75 US dollars.
For oversize of dimension or length then, travelers have to pay 75 US dollars.
